That’s right! We’ve had the proof book for about a week now, but as of this morning we finally have the digital versions of the wedding pictures!

Mom B just reserved a hotel for our out of town guests attending reception in Indiana. The reception will still be held at the Oakwood Inn, but in order to provide a cheaper hotel we booked one a few minutes away from the retreat center. The hotel is the Essenhaus Country Inn, a popular country styled hotel in Northern Indiana. Here’s the info you’ll need:

There are 8 rooms at $89 per night and 2 balcony rooms at $109 for July 1 and 2. We also have 2 full suites left reserved at the Oakwood Inn for $219 a night if you’d like to make a vacation out of it!

No, not that kind of counseling. Lisa and I are off to our first marriage seminar this weekend with our friends Debi and Randy. It’s conducted by Family Life ministries and is spoken very well of, so I’m quite excited to see what it’s like. We’ll spend tonight, Saturday and Sunday looking at topics such as follows:
-Five Threats to Oneness
-God’s purpose, plan, and power for Oneness
-Understanding: Communication I and II
-Resolving Conflict
Granted, we’re only 3 weeks into our marriage, but what better time to start focusing on Christ in our marriage then the beginning! Stay tuned for an update.

We are sitting in a shopping center on the Internet after having spent probably way too much money. However, I think today is the first day we’ve actually bought things for OURSELVES! We’ve been pretty inactive for a few days thanks to our lovely red bodies, but we did manage to get out of our room yesterday for a swim in the underground rivers at XCaret…
Well, we did it. We’re sunburned. And it only took us 4 days! I think it took us a lot longer than most of the other guests at our hotel, but perhaps it’s because we didn’t take advantage of the unlimited drinks on the beach until today. However, I’m happy to report that the Pina Colodas and Strawberry Daq’s are fabulous! The only advice I can give is don’t take your ring off on the beach to put on suntan lotion…they had to get a metal detector to find it! Good thing it was my “practice” ring and only worth $7…
We have a date for the Indiana reception! Invitatons will be going out in the next few weeks, but we at least wanted to give you the date so you all can plan if you’d like to come.
The reception will be held at the Oakwood Inn (www.oakwoodinn.org) in Syracuse, Indiana on the evening of July 2nd, 2005. We look forward to seeing you there!
I have some very exciting news…at least it’s exciting for me! Many of the wedding plans seem to be falling into place and it’s all been relatively smooth. We’ve had the issue of the mutating guest list that went from 175 to 300, we’ve had the issue of outgrowing our original location, and we’ve had the issue of not sending invitations out until less than 4 weeks before the wedding. However, one of our biggest issues was left unresolved until just last week…
Well, we’ve FINALLY completed the first batch of invitations…we’ve sent out enough to at least get them to the out-of-town bunch. We are mailing just over half of the invitations today, with the expectation that we’ll finish the rest tonight to send them out. It’s a little late, but just wanted to at least make the announcement that they’re on their way! Feel free to email us if you have any questions. Hope to see you there on May 14th!
