Do quad bucks really buy a quad?

Well, for Justin they do! Justin has been working really hard on earning quads bucks to buy his first and very own quad. We started the reward program back in April/May; Drew created a thermometer which went to $2000. At the top was a picture of Justin on a quad and every $500 was a picture of what Justin could earn. At $500 was a new helmet, $1000 was new gloves and at $1500 is a pair of riding boots!! Well, Justin has to still earn the boots, but he has already acquired the quad!! Keep reading to hear all about it!

About a few weeks ago, I sat down with Justin and talked to him about new and used quads. He asked, “How do we find a used quad?” Well, I had just the answer and we searched for quads on Craig’s List. He was so funny, I would bring up a picture of a 90cc quad and he would say, “That is too yellow” or “I don’t like green” and I would just giggle inside. I told him that was ok because he was the one that had to like it! I finally brought the blue quad up on the computer screen and I thought he was going to break the chair. He jumped up and said, “That is it…I want that one!” When Drew came home, Justin showed him the picture and asked him if they could go get it. Drew explained that you need to call and make an appointment with the other people to go out. He said, “NO, now. I want to go now!” That was the first real lesson on patience. He listened on one phone while Drew was talking to the couple on the other and set up the day and time to go out and take a look. Justin couldn’t believe that he had to wait through the whole weekend!
On Monday, late afternoon Drew and Justin took a little trip out to the west side where they visited a very nice couple that had listed a quad on Craig’s list. Justin was so excited on the way out that he couldn’t even eat dinner. He told Drew that his stomach was upset and he was too nervous. When they reached the house Justin was able to check out and sit on the quad. It is a pretty blue and was in great shape. He was very excited and was ready to take it home. He handed the couple his $500 quad bucks out of his little wallet (as Drew handed them the real cash) and was ready for the trip home!! He was finally hungry and was ready to eat after the first stressful purchase of his life…if only he knew of all the future purchases he would make!!
He has driven the quad around the backyard the past few days (good thing I didn’t let Indy out) and Drew took him across to the canal the other night and he was in heaven!! However, he still has to earn the quad bucks for gas and future repairs 😉
