Ok, ok. Mom, sorry I wrote about the cheap big-screen tv instead of Christmas. You’ve guilted me into getting the Christmas pictures up and talking about our wonderful time visiting Indiana. Justin’s first time sledding, meeting our new nephew for the first time…definitly a week of memories!
Since mom and dad have flown out to Phoenix for the last two years for Christmas, Lisa and I decided it was our turn. So two days before Christmas we packed our bags and took the long multi-leg flight home. After our late arrival, we spent our time playing in the snow, shopping, playing in the snow, cutting down the tree, opening presents, playing in the snow, and opening presents. And playing in the snow. And presents. Do you see a theme?
Yes, Justin got to make his first snowman, dig his first snow cave, and go sledding for the first time…long overdue for a 5 year old, if you ask me, so “Grandpa Doc” and I made sure he learned the intricacies of snow play.
The other (bigger) highlight was meeting our new nephew, Malachi! Emily had Malachi just before Thanksgiving and, despite holding him as much as possible, I’m still not sure Lisa got enough baby time! He’s a total cutie, very easy baby and it was an absolute thrill to see him! We look forward to many more years watching Kai grow.

Thank you Drew. It was wonderful having everybody home for Christmas. And so much fun watching Justin enjoy the snow!
