Justin’s Swim Meet – 6/25

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

Justin did great at his swim meet! He swam in 4 events, got 1st place in 3 of them and only missed 1st place in the 4th because they were racing a 12 yr old in his heat as there were no other 12 year olds for the older class. Plus, HE BROKE THE TEAM RECORD FOR BUTTERFLY!

Here are the videos.

Our Hoover Dam Trip

Sunday, February 27th, 2011

Breaking the silence with a video. This is the project our family created for Justin’s school assignment. His assignment was to do a 3 minute presentation on something in Arizona. He wanted to do the Hoover Dam, so we made a weekend trip up North and this video is the result. Be kind, as all video and pictures were from our cell phones… 😉

Justin’s friend Sarah came over and the kids all made gingerbread houses this morning.  While our boys will likely have tummy aches from eating the candy, I think the end result was great…and quite tummy looking! More pictures after the break…

Justin’s den got to play CSI tonight and get a tour of the Mesa Police Dept Crime Lab.  They saw everything from the DUI testing area to ballistics where they fire the guns.  This picture is outside of the firing range/water tank and shows a whole bunch of confiscated guns.  Was a really cool tour and the boys had a great time!

At cub scouts last week, Justin and his den (“The Freedom Fighters”) learned how to fold the American flag properly.  Here he is practicing.  Way to go Justin!

The second picture is of Justin doing science experiments at the most recent meeting with “igor” and the “mad scientist” (a.k.a. Tim and Harlem).
